Operational systems for mid‑market manufacturers.
I build the workflow, ticketing, and business logic your plant actually runs on — beyond reporting tools, before enterprise MES.
If this looks familiar...
You're not alone. Most mid-market manufacturers are stuck here.
- Critical workflows live in 47 Excel files and three Slack channels
- You bought a BI tool and now you have prettier reports — but the same broken processes
- Maintenance tickets are tracked on a whiteboard or in someone's inbox
- Production, planning, and quality each run their own spreadsheet — none of them agree
- Your most experienced operator retires next year — 20 years of process knowledge walks out with them
- Your SAP rollout has been "6 months away" for 3 years
The missing operational layer
Custom-built for how your plant actually works — not adapted from a template, not waiting on a 5-year rollout.
Built for your specific operations, not generic templates.
Live in 4-8 months, not 4-8 years.
You own the code. No vendor lock-in. Ever.
For serious projects, I visit your facility. Operations live where the work happens.
On your servers, in the cloud, or managed by me. Whatever fits your IT policy and risk profile.

Manufacturing Operations Platform
Operator-driven data capture, not PLC integration.
Solo build · ~8 months development · In production since 2025
- Intervention ticketing with SLA tracking and routing
- Operator data capture via tablet (counts, downtime reasons, parameters)

- Cross-departmental workflow (production, planning, logistics, finance, engineering, quality, HR)
- Downtime root-cause attribution and reporting
- Multi-shift operations, daily use since 2025

Mix and match. Or full platform.
Workflow & Ticketing
- Routing, approvals, SLA tracking
- Maintenance, quality holds, change requests
- Auto-escalate stuck tickets, alert on SLA breach
Cross-System Business Logic
- Custom rules across ERP, shop floor, and warehouse
- The logic that doesn't fit any single off-the-shelf tool
- Orchestration where low-code platforms stop scaling
Operator Data Capture
- Tablet/scanner UIs for shop-floor input
- Counts, downtime reasons, parameters, quality checks
- Replaces paper and clipboard-to-spreadsheet
- Designed for non-technical operators — fast adoption
Operational Dashboards
- Built from your execution data, not BI imports
- OEE, downtime, throughput — by operator and shift
- The view layer on top of your execution data
Excel & Legacy Migration
- Audit Excel, Access, and aging in-house tool sprawl
- Replace mission-critical files and databases in phases
- Often the entry point to a larger build

About me
I'm Lucian — solo senior software engineer based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
For 10 years, I've been building operational systems across industries. Started in chemical industry automation in 2016, joined VCST (Tier 1 automotive) in 2020 as a data analyst, returned in 2025 as the solo senior software engineer behind their manufacturing operations platform — workflow, ticketing, OEE, all running in daily production.
I work best with manufacturers who need real software but don't want to wait 5 years for an enterprise rollout.
Common questions
Power BI shows you what's happening. It doesn't let an operator open a ticket, route an approval, hold a batch in quality, or run business logic across your ERP and shop floor. Most clients run Power BI alongside what I build — dashboards on top, execution underneath.
